Since I have two children, I have decided to become more active at school. Most schools have now 'Parent Associations' or 'Parent Forums'. And these associations do many great things not only to school but also for the communities as well. They are great constructive environments. Being part of PA or parent forum is a great tool to be aware what is going on in school, good and bad developments, things to be done to make it a better place for children, fundraising activities, social gatherings at school ground during the weekens' and much more.
It is also socialising environment and highly recommend it if you are a parent and have extra time to dedicate yourself. Meetings only take place once a month, and it is definitely worth to put time on it. Children also love the idea of their parent to be active at school. It makes them very proud:)
